TOTAL:

$382,330

Notes

The above totals were compiled from a list of contributions sorted by employer.

1

Christman Construction was the primary on turning the old Ottawa Power Station into the new headquarters for the Accident Fund. They also participated in construction of the BWL's new natural gas power plant.

2

BCBS is one of two insurers that provide health insurance to City of Lansing employees. The other is PHP.

3

Tetra Tech is the engineering firm that supervises the sewer separation project.

4

The Accident Fund is the tenant of the transformed Ottawa Power Station. The Accident Fund is owned by BSBC.

5

In this total, I've included contributions from Lewis Douglas John, Lewis D Johns and Doug Johns of River Associates One. The address reported for Lewis Douglas John is 316 E. Michigan Ave., same as Omar's. This document from 2002 says on page 12 that Doug and Lewis John are owners of the Exchange and Omar's.

6

See this story about Jones Property Development. The second of two contributions of $5000 was from Gary Jones, but his address is the same as Jones Property Development.

7

The UAW represents all employees of the City of Lansing Parks and Recreation, Public Service, Planning and Neighborhood Development and Management Services departments (including seasonal employees) but excluding: casual employees, secretaries, clerks, school crossing guards, confidential and supervisory personnel.

8

With Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett, LLP, I've included contributions from Varnum Attorneys at Law and Varnum Ridder Law Firm.

9

DTN Management owns the building leased by the City for the police's South Precinct.

10

H, Inc. is developer Harry Hepler. He owns the building leased by the City for the police' s North Precinct.

11

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers represents Board of Water and Light employees.

12

In Gillespie Group, I've included Gillespie Development.

13

Dental insurance is provided to City employees by Delta Dental. The City pays the full premium.

14

The $2500 contribution from the Board of Water and Light was returned.

15

Peter Kramer left the Christman company in 2009 and formed Kramer Management Group. Both played big parts in construction of the BWL's new natural gas power plant.

16

This was a single contribution from Leo Jerome. The Jerome family owned Story Olds. Initially, Leo and son Chris were partnering with Joel Ferguson to develop the old Red Cedar golf course, but that didn't work out. Now they are suing Ferguson for $1,000,000.

17

Ken Lane of Clark Hill provides legal advice to the boards of the City's two retirement systems, Police and Fire and ERS (Employees Retirement System).

18

Little is known about Red Cedar Investment, but I'm told they are associated with DLZ Michigan (they have the same address) and have nothing to do with the Capital Gateway Project, the development of the Red Cedar golf course.
