Dear Attorneys
General Emily
Zillgitt and Thomas
Quasanaro,
I am writing you
today about case No.
22-000428-CZ, which
I filed against your
clients Michigan
Arts and Culture
Council (MACC) and
Alison Watson. I
can imagine how
difficult it must be
to defend clients
who are not choosing
to be honest with
the court. However,
you bear the
responsibility of
candor to the
tribunal, among
other applicable
ethics. This letter
serves as notice
that your clients
are currently out
of compliance with
the OMA in conflict
with your statements
on the court
record.
On January 13, 2023,
the MACC met in
Flint without public
notice. MACC has not
updated the meeting
dates and still has
2022 dates on their
website as you can
see here:
https://www.michiganbusiness.org/industries/macc/about-macc/
Additionally, the
most recent MACC
meeting minutes that
have been posted
were for the April
2022 meeting. Three
quarterly meetings
have taken place
since then.

Despite your
statements that
there are no ongoing
violations of the
OMA by MACC and that
they have complied
with the OMA, MACC
is currently in
violation of MCL
15.263a(3) regarding
public meeting
notice and 15.269(4)
regarding meeting
minutes.
Please correct the
court record before
February 1, 2023 and
withdraw your motion
for summary
disposition because
your court
statements contain
several material
lies. Thank you for
your time, Tedda
Hughes
