I Sent my 17 year old son to Best Drug Rehabilitation Center in Manistee Michigan. He was there for a total of 7 days. This included detox at a different location. He ran away on the seventh day due to the terrible conditions. They didn't even know he had left! It was during the hottest part of the summer, and they didn't have air conditioning. I specifically asked if they had air conditioning and was told they did. They lied about many things, and I paid $21,000 for 7 days. I have tried to get my money back, but I signed a contract based on their verbal promises, plus the fact I was trying to save my son 's life. I would have done just about anything to save my only child. BDR know this and takes advantage of desperate people. I have seen many other reports on here about BDR that sound very similar to our story. My question is, has anyone successful taken this place to court and got their money back? I have seen where others have posted that they have an attorney. I would love to know what attorneys are being used. Can we not all ban together and do a class action law suit? Anyone else out there have a good attorney that is working on a case against BDR?
