This is
one of two analyses I did of BC/BS contributions to members of the
Michigan Senate for the year 2007. This one was done from campaign reports
submitted by the senators (actually, their campaign committees). The
other was done from BC/BS PAC
reports. Since the reporting schedules for independent committees and
candidate committees are not the same, the period covered by this
analysis is 11/28/06 through 12/31/07. The
analysis of the BC/BS reports - 3
of them - covers the period 10/21/06 through 10/20/07.
The
analysis shows total contributions from BC/BS of
$58,000 for the period 11/28/06 through 12/31/07. The amounts received by each senator are shown in the following
table. Party affiliation (R
or D) is in the P column; total contributions received from Blue Cross/Blue Shield
are in the Amount column; and the date of the last contribution received in 2007
is in the Date column (some representatives received multiple contributions).
