The Michigan Campaign Finance Act places no limit on the amount that can be contributed to a ballot question committee. Contributions of $20.01 or more must be made by a written instrument such as a check or money order that shows the name of the person making the contribution and the name of the committee accepting the contribution. For all contributions, we must report the amount, date received, and name and address of the donor. For contributions that total more than $100 in calendar year, we must also report the donor's occupation, employer and principal place of business.
