Complaints Filed with Michigan Attorney General

In February 2017, I sent a FOIA request to the Michigan Atttorney General asking for any complaints received in regard to Narconon Stone Hawk, A Forever Recovery, Life Solutions or Best Drug Rehabilitation. Narconon Stone Hawk was what A Forever Recovery was formerly known as (source).

I received 4 PDF files in response. It cost me $347.28. One of the files was over 300 pages, so I split it into 3, giving a total of 6. Here are those 6 files:

A Forever Recovery/Best Drug Rehabilitation #1

A Forever Recovery/Best Drug Rehabilitation #2

A Forever Recovery/Best Drug Rehabilitation #3

Narconon Stonehawk #1

Narconon Stonehawk #2

Narconon Stonehawk #3

I submitted another FOIA request in October 2019 asking for complaints about any of the rehab centers since January 2017. That got me only 2 more.

I have extracted some of the more revealing complaints below, organized by facility. The redactions were made by the Attorney General's office to hide the identity of the complainant, but they are excessive, removing sexual references and who knows what else.

After I put this page together, I discovered that Narconon Reviews had obtained complaints from the Michigan attorney general regarding these same facilities. They are here. Although my FOIA request was submitted in 2017, I received only one or two complaints dated later than the ones they got. Narconon Reviews also has a section on Per Wickstrom with 85 entries and another on Unbranded Narconons with 69 entries, almost all regarding Wickstrom facilities.
