Ripoff Report

The Ripoff Report website allows people to post complaints about businesses. It also allows businesses to refute complaints, and the Per Wickstrom organization has taken full advantage of that opportunity, burying complaints in their lengthy responses. All the refutations make it difficult to find the original complaint, so I have copied out complaints and posted them here so you don't have to search for them. Click the date to see the full story.

Tranquility Detox

I called the attorney generals office, police officers in both counties, and the assured me it was a dangerous program to get him out.

Best Drug Rehabilitation

8/12/2012	He was never seen by an actual doctor (even in detox) and was not given his medication that he brought with him for a medical condition.
8/14/2012	The facility is filthy, has mold problems, bed bugs, drugs in the facility, clients had to sometimes drink from bowls and lunchtrays.
8/23/2012	The executive director defines sobritey as staying away from your drug of choice.
9/30/2012	While the girls gathered their stuff, i was approached in the parking lot by 3 employees who tried to guilt me into leaving my girls there.
11/5/2012	After 4 days of boring a** detox I was driven 3 hours to children of the corn land, Manistee, MI.
11/6/2012	They lied about many things, and I paid $21,000 for 7 days.
11/19/2012	My husband was told I was a "lying and manipulative addict who will say anything to go home."
1/26/2013	They were told the location couldn't be disclosed as they may have celebreties there.
2/5/2013	Girls were walking around an in hot tubs with the men In bikinis.
3/13/2013	They will tell you there is no such thing as germs. If you are sick it is because you are letting someone or something supress you.
5/9/2013	They said I left AMA (against medical advise), however; they do not have medical staff.
6/11/2013	I was told by staff that I had to sign a confidentiality paper where I wouldnt speak out about them or report anything negative about them.
8/24/2013	The diver ( whom was dressed like a straight thug) was 1 1/2 hrs late picking her up at the airport, drove 90-100 on the hwy with MY daughter in the car
1/28/2014	Best Drug Rehab has now sent another bill to my insurance company for different dates at 1495 a day for a total of 10,465 that my daughter was not even at this facility.
6/29/2014	Supposedly according to staff they had her addmitted to hospital because she wouldn't talk to anyone. That was another lie. She was dehydated because she hadn't been drinking.
1/21/2015	He was wanting to leave but they refused to give him his property so he could leave. They told him he would have to wait till after midnight to leave. This is strictly so insurance will pay for that day.
2/28/2015	You are finally able to use the phone after you sign all your paperwork but its only on speakerphone in the case managers office and if you try to tell your family anything negative about bdr they hang the phone up on you.
6/5/2015	So here I am trapped 800 miles from home with no way to back. They tried to refuse me my blood pressure meds I had to threaten to call 911 to get it.
12/21/2016	There is so much illegal and immoral activity behind closed doors it is ridiculous.

A Forever Recovery

8/19/2009	This is NOT an ACCREDITED Rehab facility. It has a State license to operate. That is all.
10/4/2009	It is probably one of the only treatment centers in the state that pays $200 to the intake people for every client that they trick into coming in for treatment.
2/8/2010	The directors nephews both are dating former clients that started working there the day they " graduated from treatment."
4/15/2010	They try to force you to drink what they call Cal-Mag (look it up) which was developed by L. Ron Hubbard. They also give you an overdose of vitamins which would probably cause liver and kidney damage if you were to take them as directed.
4/28/2010	My daughter was in "detox" for 7 days, she was never seen by a counseler.
9/13/2010	They told him he was being taken to a mens shelter with $10 (they told him I said that was fine) I never even talked to them, they told him your mom said your could keep your a*s in a shelter she was not paying for a hotel.
8/12/2011	Within five minutes of being there, a huge male security guard walked in on me being stripped searched in this tiny room where they stick you for about four hours.
9/27/2011	I finally sent a detailed letter and only then received a phone call from Pam Anderson. She stated she met with the patients and staff on a weekly basis and was unaware of any of these issues.
10/23/2011	They dropped me off at a bus station without any cash to pay for a bus ticket or a cab to get home, a dead cell phone that they refused to recharge and sick with pneumonia.
12/28/2011	I was denied medical attention and was not even evaluated by a nurse when I was experiencing serious withdrawal. Yes, they didn't even check my blood pressure.
1/30/2012	When she got home and called them and ask them IF when she got there IF they were going to make her sign over power of attorney to the Center they would not answer her.
5/18/2012	As a past employee you may think this is revenge but it is not....I was fired when I got to know too much.
6/12/2012	i really felt like i was in prison, chow lines med lines and no 24 care. i finally did go into a very bad m.s. relapse,between the hot tub, sauna,stairs& all the walking i was in bad shape plus detoxing.
8/13/2012	He said they had no affiliation with "AFR", which I thought was strange for him to even bring up!!! He said he had placed many people that had problems with "AFR" into Best Drug Rehab, "BDR."
10/22/2012	They did not care they got their money and that is all they was worried about. Even after she came home they called us saying we owed more money and we told them we were not giving them another dime.
11/15/2012	Infact, why would they want to cure anybody? returning clients, especially those with money or insurance are good for business.
6/11/2013	BDR had taken his ID from him upon entry in this program and WOULD NOT give it back. There was a lot of intimidation from some of the Security staff members who were with the NATION OF ISLAM.
7/24/2013	Peeling paint, part time workers with no experience, actually they were former addicts. No doctor on site at all.
1/7/2017	You are promised massages, accupunture, etc and they do not tell you that they will charge you extra for this. The program costs $25,000 and you are living in a roach motel. Even the food is awful - he was served cold chicken wings for breakfast.

12/10/2015	They lie to your inscurance in order to receive more money. I was made to sign a weekly report on what I was working on, and it made me sound like I was still using drugs, and they had to supervise me intensly to make sure I didn't use, and my mood had to be worked on, which wasn't the case at all. But if you didn't agree and sign it, you would be kicked out.
